After a year of equipment and implementation testing, IVM’s inventory tracking system was officially commissioned. This system uses barcoding to identify every piece of stainless steel delivered and it is then passed through the manufacturing processes. Each barcode is traceable to the “materials certification” that accompany deliveries, which confirms alloy composition and the country of origin of the original melt. The latter is necessary in compliance with valves manufactured to comply with AIS requirements.
