International Valve is pleased to announce the ISO 9001:2015 certification, which is a manufacturing quality management system. International Valve had originally targeted its quality management system to the 2008 version and was scheduled for implementation. However, IVM decided to take this time to further update this quality management system to the current 2015 certification. The standard for ISO 9001 is based on a number of quality management principles, which include a strong customer focus and continual improvement.
Rudy Lang III, President of International Valve, stated that attaining our ISO certification and covering the manufacturing of the Vent-Tech air/vacuum relief valves, added with the NSF-61 certification together form an important milestone for the company.
The NSF-61 is a set of national standards that relates to the water treatment and the distribution of products in North America. Benefits of this certification ensure that products meet regulatory requirements for the U.S. and Canada. It also makes sure that components in water treatment meet the right and correct standards to ensure dangerous toxins are not leached.
